These instructions tell you how to manage the span filter, release messages classified as spam, and add users to a whitelist or blacklist list. Outgoing messages are not filtered.
Start
You can access the spam filter by logging in to your admin panel and clicking on “SpamExperts”.
Select a domain and click on “Login” to its right.
Managing filters
You can view email messages in quarantine by clicking on the “Spam quarantine” button.
Click on the magnifying glass icon to view quarantined messages during the last week or a period of your choice. If you see a message that is not spam, click on the subject to see what it is about. If you want to release it from quarantine into your email, go to “More functions” menu and select “Release and Train”. This way the filter will learn that similar messages do not have to be filtered in future.
Approved senders
You can also add an email address on a whitelist, meaning that all messages from the email address are accepted and will be automatically sent to your inbox. Use this option only if you are absolutely sure that no spam will be sent from that address.
Click on “Sender allow list” on the menu on the left.
Click on “Add whitelist sender”.
Enter in the “Address” field the domain from which you want to receive all messages and then click “Save”.
For example, if you enter “exampleaddress.fi” in the field, all messages sent from @esimerkkiosoite.fi will be accepted.
Blocked senders
If you keep receiving spam from a specific sender or you do not want to receive messages from a particular address, you can blacklist it.
Enter in the “Address” field the domain from which you want to block all messages and then click “Save”.
For example, if you enter “exampleaddress.fi” in the field, all messages sent from @esimerkkiosoite.fi will be blocked.
Note that all messages from the address will be blocked.
Click on “Sender block list” on the menu on the left.
Click on “Add blacklist sender”.

Training the filter
If spam has got through your filter and you want to prevent such messages in the future, you can download it from your email program or webmail in EML, MSG or TXT format and import it to the filter to train it. In the menu on the left, select “Train messages” and import the message file in the window on the page. Then select whether you want the filter to treat it as a “Legitimate message” or “Spam message”, and then click continue.
